| I
own and operate a one person shop in a small town in coastal Maine. I began
27 years ago, building and repairing wooden boats, but for the past 20 years
have been building furniture and cabinets. I have lived in New England for
most of my life, and my style reflects that heritage. My work is grounded
in traditional American forms, especially Shaker and colonial, and features
what I call updated classics. |

Most of my work is custom, by which I mean that each piece is built to order, with a specific customer in mind. Many of my designs are the direct result of customer's ideas or requests. I do have a number of frequently repeated designs, such as this trestle table, that can be adapted to your particular needs.

| My
pieces are being enjoyed in many homes around the country. You can also
find my work included in the Custom Furniture Source Book: A Guide
to 125 Craftsmen, (Taunton Press, 2001). In addition, I have written
articles for Fine Woodworking magazine, also published by Taunton. |
